OUR ROOMS

Here at Wee One’s our rooms are designed to allow your child to feel safe and secure within their environment. There are age specific toys and activities centered around the interests of the children. We adopt the key person approach allowing your child to build a relationship with a member of staff within the nursery. This also allows the parent a first point of contact, keeping you informed of your child's developments. This will be done verbally, via daily feedback sheets (if applicable) and through their online Learning Journals, Blossom.

In Butterflies room the adult to child ratio will be one adult to every three children. In Dragonflies room will be one to four (2-3 years) or one to eight (3 years+) dependent on the ages of the children, following the Ofsted requirements.
Butterflies (3 months - 24 months)

In the baby room there is space for your Wee One to safely play on the floor, developing their skills to become mobile. As babies learn through their senses, activities and toys will allow your child to explore and learn through play. There is a quiet area if your child enjoys books and a connecting room as they become more confident on their feet. In here we offer soft play, sensory trays, treasure baskets and much more.
As they become more active they will need activities to match their curiosity. There’s an ‘active’ play area, allowing your child to practice walking and balancing. It will also include role play items and block play. Dependent on your child there will be parts of the day that they can play with the older children.
If they need a snooze we have a separate sleep room, set up with cots. Each child has their own sheets and we follow routines to meet the individual child.

Outside we all play together with age specific toys and activities available.

Observations of your child’s development will be made by your child's key person and will be recorded in their online Learning Journey, Blossom which you can look at any time via the app. We also record your child's daily diary on Blossom so that you are able to check what they've eaten, how much milk they've had, nappies and how much they've slept.
What do our parents think...
"I was so nervous about my boy starting nursery at 8 months but the
amazing team at Wee One's made him part of the family. He's now 13
months and is  excited getting into the car every morning!"
Mum to 13 month old

"Our 2 year-old loves Wee Ones, thanks to all the attention and stimulation she receives. We've been amazed at just how structured her care has been. Every week she seems to learn something new and she especially loves the music and outdoor activities."
Mum & Dad to 24 month old
Dragonflies (2-3 years)

The Wee Dragonflies have a large indoor area, giving opportunities for them to choose from the different areas of learning. As your Wee toddler has developed so much already! To enhance their learning to play and their enquiring minds we have activity areas, role play, art areas playing alongside the dragonflies. Of course a quiet area and somewhere if they need a snooze. There will be opportunities for the children to cook in small groups.

If they need a snooze we have a separate sleep room, set up with cots. Each child has their own sheets and we follow routines to meet the individual child.

There is a large garden to play in and discover new things, including our vegetable garden and new bug hotel which the children help to make.

Observations of your child’s development will be made by your child's key person and will be recorded in their online Learning Journey, Blossom which you can look at any time via the app.
What do our parents think …
"Wee ones is fantastic, my little one has come so far with his Speech and social skills. They accommodate him with his special requirements and go above and beyond to make sure all requirements are met. I couldn’t think of a better place I’d rather send him. Thanks Roop and team."
